Elizabethen Hair styles made contemporary

So I'm looking at Elizabethan hair styles and then I'm going to transform them into contemporary designs. So with this particular hair style we can see that it sits quite high on the forehead and has fringe that is very fizzy and curly going from ear to ear around the head. And make special note of the hair accessories.
To make the hair style more contemporary but still keeping the features of Elizabethan times I would have the hair style sitting lower on the forehead I would then put a French plait going the entire way around the head and bring the hair back in a neat bun.
Another idea I had of making this style more contemporary is bring all of the hair up on top of the head and make it kinda twisty curly and messy -This would only work if the hair was fairly short, I think this would work as royals etc often wore their hair very big and fizzy like but yet very contained. So by bringing the hair up to the top of head head and making it curly, messy and twisty you would still be keeping the general idea but just making it wearable today.

The idea I got from this hair style was if the person had long hair, you could back comb the fringe and side pieces of hair and then put it in the same shape she has going from ear to ear but making the hair really smooth looking and then leaving the rest of the hair down. Or by putting the hair into tight square curls like the photo has and then just adding a simple hair piece like a flower or even a bandana would make it more contemporary.
Another way of making this hair style more contemporary would be to create a centre parting and then put in the really tight GHD curls like the image has in. The centre parting was very important in Elizabethan times.
